Mega List of Free Movies in the Park This Summer

Sure, you can go out to a movie the usual way—$12 a pop in a dark theater— or you can enjoy movies in the park, under the stars and leafy trees. Plus, most are free. Communities all over Utah are setting up projectors for movies in the park this summer. Many open with family activities and performances by local entertainers, and while most of the movies in the park are blockbusters fresh from the theaters (like Barbie and Wonka), some local organizations are showing films seen at 2024 Sundance Film Festival, and productions by local filmmakers. Audiences members in search of a little nostalgia will even be please with some throwback screenings of The Goonies, Return of the Jedi, and Raiders of the Lost Ark. No matter what you see, show up early. You may not find room for your oversized YETI cooler once that family of 10 with the Twister mat and a quilt for each kid shows up. Don’t see a park near you on this page? Check your city’s website or Facebook page.
